Dragon Age: Faith Misplaced
Redhold hosts a thriving populace that is entirely self-sufficient. Trade takes place with dwarves from Orzammar, but this is more for luxury items than survival. Hunters and farmers help the city eke out a living amid the unforgiving heights of the Frostback Mountains.
Redhold’s spiritual animal is a mighty red lion, giving the hold its name. This lion, named Vron by the people, is kept in a pit and kept wild by feeding him living prey. Vron provides a kind of guidance for the people of Redhold, providing omens and other prophecies. “As Vron goes, so go we all,” is a common phrase when speaking of the future.
